Caitlin has lived and worked for San Joaquin County for nearly 15 years. In 2008, she moved to this community, and she and her husband have made their home and are raising their children here.
Working for District Attorney Ron Freitas, Caitlin supervises the Gang and Human Trafficking units, including wiretap operations. She also previously served as an interim supervisor of the Homicide/Cold Case units. Her present duties also include liaison to the City of Stockton’s Operation Ceasefire program; Project Safe Neighborhood liaison with the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District (Sacramento); Prosecution Liaison to Stockton Police Department’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center initiative; and Wiretap Coordinator.
She has also convened and presented to numerous indictment and investigative Grand Juries since 2012. She has been the appointed prosecutor on over one dozen wiretap interception operations with various local agencies and the California Department of Justice. Caitlin currently chairs the San Joaquin County Gang Task Force and provides guidance and regular training to law enforcement. She has instructed fellow prosecutors and serves on the California District Attorneys Association Grand Jury Committee and statewide working group for the Racial Justice Act. In July 2023, the California District Attorneys Association published an article she wrote concerning legal issues surrounding geofence warrants, the first such article published to that scale by a California state prosecutor. Lastly, she remains a trial attorney and has tried many cases to verdict, from misdemeanors to special-circumstance homicides.
Caitlin believes our system of justice and laws is meant to work fairly and requires each of us to believe in the rule of law and human dignity.
Because of her work as a criminal prosecutor, Caitlin has earned the endorsements of San Joaquin District Attorney Ron Freitas, Manteca Mayor Gary Singh, Superior Court Judge Richard Mallet, the Stockton Police Officers Association, the San Joaquin County Probation Officers Association, the State Coalition of Probation Organizations, the Manteca Police Officers Association and the Lodi Police Officers Association to name a few supporters.
In addition to her work as a Deputy District Attorney, Caitlin also serves on several nonprofit and municipal boards, including the Lodi Library Board of Trustees, the board of the People Assisting the Lodi Animal Shelter, and St. Anne’s School Advisory Council.
